INDY 500: WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to work at the Indy 500 Concession stand. Any one interested needs to contact Cinda or Reva ASAP so that they can get liquor license forms taken care of before May 1st. Liquor licenses need to be sent in ASAP... at no cost to the members, KQMC pays for these license.

We have to have 15 people with a liquor license, but would like to have at least 20 people to go. The more people that go to help, the more breaks everyone gets, and less work for each person. It is a long day, but lots of FUN!

KEY WAYS: Every Honda 120 MUST have a new QMA offset key installed before the first club race. Call Jeremy if you still need one. 574-721-3467

SAFETY CHECKS: EVERY car that races at KQMC will have to go through SAFETY CHECK. Billy Bolton and BJ Fleenor will be doing  the safety checks.   Cars will be marked with a 2008 sticker so that you will ONLY have to be checked once this season.

ATTENTION HEAVY DRIVERS: All HEAVY class drivers will be weighed after qualifying. If a heavy class driver weighs 110 pounds or lighter after qualifying, the driver will be weighed again and be asked to remove ALL of their safety gear, which includes, suit, helmet, shoes and gloves. BE PREPARED! This procedure can be found in the rule book on page 47.

        Also, reference the QMA Scoring Procedures on page 4: "If a Heavy class DRIVER is found to light after qualifying, they will be assigned with a NT (no time) and placed in the last qualifying spot of the LIGHT DIVISION of the same class.

    If a CAR is found to be light, or is disqualified after qualifying for any other reason, it will be given a DQ for its qualifying time and placed in the last qualifying spot of its class/division. The weight or other infraction must be corrected prior to racing."

KOKOMO MEMBERSHIPS: Renewal memberships are NOW PAST DUE!  You must have your paperwork filled out, signed and PAID - BEFORE you will be allowed to sign in, even for the non-points race! See Reva or myself if you need forms, or call and I will be glad to mail them to you.

NOVICE PRACTICE: Every Thursday from 5:30 pm till dark is dedicated exclusively for the training and practice of our Novice drivers, weather pending.  Our Novice Director, Brad Joyce, will be available during this time to help the drivers and answer handler questions. If there is a question about the weather, please call Brad. These practices are not required; however we would encourage everyone to take advantage of this time whenever possible.
