Zeke Lewis is a 9th grader at Winchester Community High School for 2006-07. He is beginning his fourth year as a member of the Kokomo Quarter Midget Club. He has raced at all nine regional tracks in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, and Gasoline Alley Nationals held each July at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He has raced at the Fort Wayne Rumble at the Coliseum and at the Winternationals held each winter at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus. He is looking forward to racing in his first Grands held in Xenia, Ohio this July. Zeke not only drives his Hyder and Stanley quarter midgets but he also does 90% of the set-up himself. Every day after school he is in the race trailer working on his and his sister's cars.

Accomplishments:

Zeke Lewis has achieved many things in his three racing seasons. He was the Senior Novice Champion in the 2004 Indiana State Championship Series. He set a new qualifying track record at Kokomo in Senior Novice with 8.0707 and set a new track record at Mac-O-Chee, West Liberty, Ohio with a time of 6.7332!

In 2005 he raced in the Senior Honda class. This was a learning year in many ways. Zeke really started working on the cars and gaining knowledge on the set-up which helped him make adjustments to make his car faster. He had many ups and downs this year but always enjoyed getting ready for the race the next weekend. He was given the opportunity to drive a Rice car in Heavy 160 at Kokomo while Mr. Rice was visiting from California.

In 2006 Zeke raced two chassis with three different motors in four classes. He raced in Senior Honda, Heavy Honda, Heavy 160 and Heavy AA. Zeke captured the Heavy Honda ISCS Championship, KQMC Heavy 160 Championship and he finished 4th in Heavy Honda for Region 4. Zeke had 28 wins and 43 top 5 finishes in 2006! While racing at the Columbus Winternationals he was asked to drive a Magnum chassis to assist with the set-up of the car.

On February 10, 2007 Zeke won the Heavy Honda feature at Columbus Indoors and has won three features at KQMC so far this year!

Zeke would like to thank his sponsors for all of their support and hopes 2007 is a good year for them and for racing!

Thanks Dad!
